
Roger! Anybody growing up in my home town in the early 80’s knew who Roger Troutman was. Not only did he create the “Dayton sound” with the band Zapp! He got a lot of local talent their first taste of recognition. Unfortunately on April 25th 1999 he was shot and killed behind his studio in Dayton on Salem Ave. This piece earned me a second place ribbon at the Middletown Arts Center local artists show in 2020.
